Nairobi, cosmopolitan capital city of Kenya is a great destination in Africa. The Maasai called it 'place of cool waters' or Enkare Nyirobi that gave the city its name. Climate :

Well known as "Green City in the Sun" in close proximity to the equator, it was founded in 1899 as a railway depot linking Mombasa to Uganda. Today it has emerged as one of the most prominent cities of Africa, both politically and financially. It is now a well-established center for business and culture.

Nairobi's many wildlife parks and open spaces provide dense tree-cover. The famous Uhuru Park borders the central business district and neighborhood Upper Hill. Home to international companies and organizations including United Nations Environment Program, the multicultural setting includes prominent places of worship for major religions.

The City Square in the Central Business District houses the Kenyan Parliament buildings, Holy Family Cathedral, Nairobi City Hall, Nairobi Law Courts and Kenyatta Conference Centre.
