Mennonite Guest House - A Place of Respite

Mennonite Guest House The Mennonite Guest House is located on the western edge of the ever expanding city of Nairobi in the Westland's.

The guest house is an old colonial era house with two acres of sprawling lush green grass, accentuated by exotic trees and shrubs.
A new two-story unit with eight rooms has recently been inaugurated in the month of April 2010. With the new construction the lodging capacity has increased by 50%.

Purpose: The purpose of building the Mennonite Guest house was to use it as a place of respite for Mennonite missionaries working in Eastern Africa. Many families spent time at MGH to refresh and relax from their rigorous duties in Kenya, Tanzania, Somalia and Ethiopia as well as to purchase supplies and take care of passport issues, etc. Seventy percent of MGH guests are missionaries and development workers, guests who fulfill the mission for which MGH was founded in 1964.

Amenities: Rooms at the guest house vary in sizes from tiny single rooms that use a shared bath and shower, to a massive suite with a queen-size bed and two sets of bunk beds. All the rooms in the guest house have telephone connection with local or international call facilities.

A library along with spacious sitting room with satellite TV is also present in the guest house. At the reception area sodas, water, tea and snacks are provided for guests until 11:00 PM. There is a lush green lawn on the backyard with badminton and lawn tennis courts. Internet connection is also provided at the guest house.
